Viktor Kirilov, Worldwide Flight Services’ (WFS) General Manager in Boston, has been honoured with a Boston Logan International Airport ‘First Line of Defense’ merit award for actions that enhanced the safety and security of the travelling public after being nominated by Paul Francis, Assistant Federal Security Director of the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
The Boston Logan International Airport Security Awareness For Everyone (SAFE) merit awards are presented for outstanding performance in the interest of security.
The award certificate, which is signed by Edward C. Freni, Director of Aviation, Michele R. Freadman, Deputy Director, Aviation Security Operations, and Francis M. McGinn, Major of the State Police Troop, stated: “Everyone who works at Boston Logan International Airport, in any capacity, is a critical component of our first line of defense against terrorism.
This award is formal recognition of, and in gratitude for, your actions in the interest of airport security that enhanced the safety and security of the travelling public. Your actions are in keeping with the highest traditions of the Massachusetts Port Authority, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the United States of America.”
In a letter to Viktor announcing his award, Edward C. Freni, said: “The award recognises employees who have demonstrated exemplary security awareness in their daily responsibilities at Boston Logan International Airport. Your dedication and commitment to the security of the airport set a great example to all of the Logan Airport community.”
